The gravest scenario - a combination of extreme heat (over 30 C) and hail-storms - may occur in 8 provinces: Pomeranian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Mazovian, Łódź, Świętokrzyskie, Lublin, Lesser Poland and Silesia.

The Government Security Center (RCB) advises how to keep safe during a storm: avoid open spaces, do not stand under lone trees or masts and avoid touching metal objects in the middle of a storm. People driving a car should stop at a parking lot away from trees. In the mountains you should descend from the summit. People swimming should immediately leave the water and move away from the shore.

The RCB also warns against swimming in non-designated places and under the influence of alcohol, stating that "on Friday alone, 5 people drowned", while the total number of deaths from drowning this summer has reached 238 people.
