Nearly four out of 10 of the fastest growing public or private technology companies in Central Europe are in Poland, according to a report published by professional services firm Deloitte.
As many as 18 Polish companies were ranked in the Technology Fast 50 Central Europe annual report.
This year’s report represents 265 applicants from 10 countries. A Czech 3D-printing company experienced a phenomenal 17,118 percent growth dwarfing the average growth of 1,290 percent.
A Warsaw-based software company founded in 2010 saw a 1,496 percent growth and tops the growth list of Polish companies.
The list published for the 19th time includes companies from Lithuania (8), the Czech Republic and Croatia (seven each), Slovakia (three), Hungary and Latvia (two each), and Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia and Latvia (one each).
With a population of over 38 million, Poland is the largest country by size among the countries represented in the report.
The Deloitte website states that the “winners for 2018 are determined based on the revenue growth over four years (2014 to 2017). Revenue growth is calculated in local currency.”
