“The meetings will take place in the coming weeks and will have a pastoral, individual, and private character”, the episcopat’s spokesman said on Thursday.
Invitations are issued by dioceses, religious orders, and communities to those who have been granted the legal status of victims of sexual abuses by priests.
The meetings “are a response to the letter issued to the Heads of Episcopates by the organizers of the “Protection of Minors within the Church” conference that will take place in Rome between 21 and 24 February,” the spokesman added.
