Polish PM Mateusz Morawiecki has reacted to the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk’s comment about “hell” for the advocates of Britain leaving the EU.
Mr Morawiecki answered on Thursday with his own Twitter post. “Rather than send anyone to hell, let us together find a solution that will be good for the EU and one which will allow us to keep Britain as a strong economic partner after #Brexit. Our common objective should be Poland’s interests and the future of the EU, regardless of its future shape,” the Polish PM tweeted.
I've been wondering what that special place in hell looks like, for those who promoted #Brexit, without even a sketch of a plan how to carry it out safely.— Donald Tusk (@eucopresident) February 6, 2019
Mr Tusk was speaking in reaction to the possibility of the UK leaving the EU without an agreement on 29 March of this year.
