Modern venue for Eurovision Junior contest

Arena Gliwice was chosen as the venue of this year’s edition of the Eurovision Junior contest, which will take place in autumn in Poland.

The best young singers from all around Europe will be competing in the city of Gliwice in Upper Silesia, southern Poland. The final will be held on November 24.

The Polish public television TVP is a media patron of the contest.

Arena Gliwice is one of the largest and most modern audience halls in Poland. It consists of one large hall and a smaller one. It has 17,178 seats in the main hall, plus 7,000 standing places on the floor, as well as 72 spots for people with disabilities.

Moreover, the small hall offers 1,092 seats plus 2,268 standing places. The whole building has a volume of 554,221 cubic meters (724,893 cubic yards).

It was officially opened in May 2018. The cost of the whole investment was about PLN 420 million (EUR 97.6 million).
