The press office of the Polish Episcopate Conference announced on Thursday that 382 cases of sexual abuse of minors by clergy were reported from January 1, 1990, to June 30, 2018.
It was also noted that 198 of them were committed on children under 15 years of age.
From the data received by the Secretariat of the Polish Episcopal Conference from all dioceses and religious orders, the total number of victims under 15 years, including unconfirmed cases, amounted to 345.
Among the victims, in all reported cases, total male minors accounted for 58.4 percent, while the female juveniles amounted to 41.6 percent.
In all the cases for which the state of the canonical process was determined (94.8 percent of all reported cases), 74.6 percent have already been completed, while 25.4 percent are still ongoing.
