The government would like Polish businesses to take over the dozens of German companies that are having business succession problems, Entrepreneurship and Technology Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz told the Polish Press Agency (PAP) on Friday.
She added that presentations of the companies that are currently up for sale will take place at the Polish-German "Digitisation, Energy, Mobility" Economic Forum which starts in Berlin on Monday.
Ms Emilewicz stated that already in November of last year, the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier had expressed great interest in such a solution. German businessmen with major succession problems are also looking for potential acquirees from Poland. Ms Emilewicz said that in such situations, Polish entrepreneurs could count on various types of assistance.
The minister added that close to 300 companies from Poland and Germany had announced their participation in the Monday forum. They will be mainly from the Industry 4.0, electric mobility and intelligent energy sectors.
