Polish wrestlers with medal haul at European championships

Two silver and one bronze medal, that is the net result of the Polish endeavours at the 2019 European Wrestling Championships in Bucharest that concluded on Sunday.

Poland’s Gevorg Sahakyan took the silver in the men’s 67 kg Greco-Roman on the last day of competition in the Romanian capital.

The championships also saw Poland’s Zbigniew Baranowski win silver in the men’s 92 kg freestyle. Meanwhile, Magomedmurad Gadzhiev claimed bronze in the men’s 70 kg freestyle.

The 2019 European Wrestling Championships were held in Bucharest from April 8 to 14.

At last year’s European wrestling championships in Kaspiysk, Russia, Poland came away with four medals, two silver and two bronze.
