Former Finance Min to stand for European Parliament in London

Former Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski announced that he is to stand as a candidate in the upcoming European parliamentary elections for British Change UK party.

Mr Rostowski, who holds both Polish and British citizenship, was a Finance Minister in the Donald Tusk’s government between 2007 and 2013.

On Tuesday, he announced that he was joining the EP list for the Change UK - The Independent Group.

“I will stand for to the European Parliament placed second in the London list of the pro-European and anti-Brexit Change UK party,” Mr Rostowski’s statement reads. “Should I be elected, I will represent every European citizen in London, predominantly Britons but also Poles, French, and Spaniards, etc.”

Change UK party was founded in February this year and confirmed earlier this month. Its support oscillates around 9 percent.
