The Warsaw Modlin Airport serviced 1.58 million passengers in first half of 2019, which is a growth of 8.9 percent year on year, the airport announced.
In June alone, the airport serviced 297,000 passengers.
With 3 mln passengers serviced in 2018, Warsaw Modlin remains the sixth busiest airport in Poland. The Warsaw Chopin Airport tops the list, with 17.7 mln passengers serviced last year and 8.59 mln so far this year. Both airports noted continuous customer growth in the past years.
In the end of June, both the Warsaw Chopin and Modlin airports announced opening biometric passport gates to fast track passport and customs control.
