The Polish men’s national volleyball team won 3:1 against Slovenia on Sunday in a qualification match for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The Polish team won 3:1 (21:25, 25:23, 25:23, 25:21) and advanced to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Having won three intercontinental tournaments the team has ensured its start in the Olympic Games.
After two days of competing in Gdańsk’s Ergo Arena, Poland’s team had already won two matches. On Friday the Polish team beat Tunisia and on Saturday France. On Sunday's first meeting France won against Tunisia 3:1.
In the first set Poland’s team lost 21:25 to Slovenia, yet the next three rounds turned out victorious for Poland’s team.
The eight teams which have not advanced to the Olympics will have another opportunity to do so in January 2020.
