Polish painters to capture the beauty of Greek island on canvas

An outdoor painting session starts at the Greek island of Syros which will gather some 50 artists – both professional and amateur – from all over Poland.

The event, organised by Stanisław Głaz, a Jesuit priest and professor of psychology, will take place in August and September.

The initiative boasts a thirty-year-long history and, according to artist Małgorzata Zofia Maćkowiak, a number of eminent painters from all over Poland have taken part over the years.

According to Polish Radio, the outdoor painting takes place in a historic villa in the town of Poseidonia.

The event will be followed by an exhibition of the participants’ work that will be staged in Poland.

As many as 300 people have taken part in the initiative to date.
