Aleksandra Mirosław (née Rudzińska) retained the title of the women’s world champion in speed climbing, winning gold in Hachioji, Japan.
In the final duel of the IFSC Climbing World Championships, she defeated the Chinese Di Niu for a time of 7.13s, thus defending the title won in September 2018 in Innsbruck, then, under the surname Rudzińska.
Poland’s other representatives finished in lower positions. The highest ranked among them Patrycja Chudziak came seventh, after suffering a defeat from her compatriot Mirosław.
This result guaranteed Aleksandra Mirosław a promotion to the combination competition on Sunday, when the 20 athletes who emerged the best in bouldering, lead and speed climbing will fight for seven Olympic Games places.
