Vintage tractors pull visitors to Wilkowice

The 18th Vintage Tractor Rally takes place on August 17-18 in the western Polish village of Wilkowice.

Over 300 vehicles, including 250 tractors from the bygone era are available for visitors to see… and hear. Despite their age, some are still used on farmers’ fields.

Some of these old-timers came all the way from countries like Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark.

Among the other attractions awaiting guests this year are exhibitions about modern agricultural machinery, a memorabilia store and a catering stand.

The rally, organised by the Lipno municipality since 2002, gathers 25,000 visitors every year, and is the biggest event of its type not only in Poland, but also in Eastern Europe.
