Scouts and guides from Katowice, southern Poland, are involved in a project aimed at helping Georgian children in need.
After a year’s preparation, they covered 800 kilometres in 14 days for a noble cause. The Merkuria Centre in Georgia, a facility that admits children who are victims of domestic violence was their destination.
During their time in Georgia, the Polish scouts organised several activities for the local children, including English lessons and life skills classes.
Although the travellers from Poland are already back, their initiative has not ended. Now, they are involved in collecting items that will be included in parcels for Georgian children in Merkuria.
