Poland defeated the Netherlands 3:0 (25:19, 25:18, 25:19) in their second game of the men’s volleyball European Championships 2019 on Sunday.
The co-hosts of the tournament put up a fight only at the beginning of each set, with the world champions eventually gaining control over the situation and comfortably winning with a considerable advantage.
Coach Vital Heynen chose the same starting squad as he did during the Summer Olympics qualifying tournament, won by the Poles.
Wilfredo Leon grabbed the most points in the Polish team - 12. Compared to the first match, against Estonia, Poland improved in blocking, winning ten points in this element of the game.
Poland leads in Group D and will play their third game against the Czech Republic on Monday.
