Rallying: French driver wins last stage of Polish Rally Championship

Bryan Bouffier from France in a Hyundai I20 R25, along with his French co-driver Xavier Panseri, won the Lower Silesian Rally, the final round of the 2019 Polish Rally Championship (RSMP).

This victory allowed him to finish in third place in the general classification of the Polish Rally Championship. Over the years 2007-2009, Bouffier was thrice champion of Poland.

The runner-up of the rally was Sylwester Płachytka in a Škoda Fabia R5, and Marcin Słobodzian, also in a Škoda Fabia R5, was third.

Mikołaj Marczyk (also in a Škoda Fabia R5) earlier secured his personal victory in the general classification of the 2019 RSMP. The vice-champion of Poland is Tomasz Kasperczyk (a Ford Fiesta R5). Neither participated in the Lower Silesian Rally.

Bouffier managed to collect a total of 90 points in the general classification. The same number is under Płachytka’s belt but it is the French driver, who is third in the RSMP, thanks to the victory on Sunday.

The holder of the title of the champion from 2018 was Grzegorz Grzyb, but he did not manage to raise enough money to secure his presence through the whole season of the RSMP.
