Euro 2020 qualifiers: Poland defeats Latvia 3:0

By scoring three goals in the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Latvia, Robert Lewandowski became the record holder of the Polish National Football Team in terms of the total number of goals scored in away games.

Poland defeated Latvia in Thursday’s match during the Euro 2020 preliminaries in Riga, Latvia. During the game Poland dominated the field with 88 percent of accurate passes, and a significant advantage in ball possession.

The hero of the game was Robert Lewandowski, who became the most effective away games player in Polish football history. Having scored 24 goals he overtook the previous title holder, Grzegorz Lato, who scored 22 goals in away games in the years 1973-1980.

In the next game on Sunday, October 13, Poland will confront North Macedonia.
