After the loss against Brazil on Sunday, the Poles practically lost their chances to win the FIVB World Cup. They were in the second position in the ranking after seven victories. Canada was much lower in the ranking, with only four victories.

The first part of the game was a close one. Poles gained the advantage, but soon Canadians caught up with them. Rivals of Poland stood against them, but in the final moments of the first set, Poles managed to secure their victory 25:23.

The second set again was again close, but it was Canada that was leading. The main roles were played by Karol Kłos and Cuban-born Wilfredo Leon. Finally, Poland was able to outrun Canada and win 26:24.
