Pole wins the Gramophone Classical Music Award

Jakub Józef Orliński won the Gramophone Classical Music Award which has been called an “Oscar of the world of music”.

"This is one of the most important awards in the world" - emphasizes Zofia Zembrzuska from the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, adding that representatives of the most important music institutions and orchestras as well as artists gather at the galas every year. The winners are chosen by journalists of "Gramophone" magazine and a wide range of representatives of the music industry - journalists, salesmen, concert hall directors and musicians.

"It's unexpected. I'm happy that you gave me this beautiful award. It is an honour for me and I am happy to be here with you" - said Mr Orliński.

Zofia Zembrzuska says that the award opens doors to artists to music opportunities around the world. "His contact with the audience is fantastic. The musician is a graduate of the American music school and is able to establish relations with the audience and enable them to experience music" - emphasized the interviewee on Polish Radio.

Jakub Józef Orliński was born in Warsaw in 1990. He is a graduate of the Frederic Chopin Warsaw University of Music. In his free time between interpretations of Vivaldi or George Friedrich Handel, Jakub Józef Orliński is a breakdancer.
