Robert Lewandowski does not cease to amaze as he scored for Bayern Munich once again, this time, in the Champions League game against Olympiacos, won by the German side 2:0.
Poland’s international crushed the Greeks’ tough defence in the 69th minute, putting Bayern in the lead. The substitute Ivan Perisic doubled the lead 20 minutes later.
Wednesday’s victory means that the German champions secured their last 16 phase berth with two more group games to go. Lewandowski has already scored six times in this season of the UEFA Champions’ League, and in 2019, he has a total of 39 club goals on his account.
With a total of 59 goals, he is fifth in the all-time scorers’ classification.
This season, Lewandowski did not find his way to the net in only two official games for Bayern. So far, he has scored an amazing 21 times in 17 matches for the German side, and his tally constitute 56 percent of Bayern’s goal account in the league.
In October, Lewandowski was nominated for the 2019 Ballon d’Or award, presented annually by the prestigious French magazine France Football.
