Poland, Luxembourg to cooperate in space technology

At a Warsaw conference concerning the two countries' cooperation in the space sector, Polish Development Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz said that Poland has about 300 start-up firms and technology companies offering products for the space sector.

Minister Emilewicz also said that Poland had created a space strategy for the years 2017-2030 and is overseen by her ministry.

"We follow trends in the space sectors and want to create them, and for this we need strong partners," said Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz.

She referred to a 2018 agreement between Poland and Luxembourg on the exploration and use of natural resources for space exploration. "I hope that today's meeting will initiate new partnerships and areas of cooperation, whose effects we will see soon," Development Minister said.

Luxembourg's Deputy PM and Economy Minister Etienne Schneider said that his country was looking for partners in space exploration, not only to facilitate contacts between businesses, but also to take part in large projects within the international forum.
