Three trucks collided on Monday morning on the 148th kilometre of the motorway. One of the drivers was stuck in his vehicle.

A video published by the Voluntary Fire Department on social media shows that the pilot of the helicopter tried to land on the road, but the force of the wind prevented him from doing so.

The vehicle started to spin around and the situation began to look dangerous. Finally, the pilot abandoned the idea of landing, and the victim of the accident was transported to a hospital in an ambulance.

The windstorm “Sabina” has caused many problems in Poland and other European countries. Poland’s Met Office (IMGW) has issued a second-degree wind warning for nearly the whole country.

The most tragic episode was the death of two people in Bukowina Tatrzańska, southern Poland, who were hit by a roof which blew off a ski rental.
