Just 18-years-old and already on her way to conquering the world of music. Alicja Szemplińska won Poland’s “A Chance for Success” (Szansa na sukces) music show and is to represent Poland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.
“The emotions have still got me in their grasp. It was an enormous challenge but the song I sang helped me tackle it because it was 100 percent me singing it and I put my whole heart into it,” Ms Szemplińska told Poland’s public broadcaster TVP.
“I am so happy it was appreciated,” she said and expressed her esteem towards the other participants of the contest.
Ms Szemplińska sang a song entitled “Empire”, which was co-authored by Patryk Kumor and Dominik Buczkowski-Wojtaszek who are also the authors of the “Superhero” song with which Poland’s Viki Gabor won 2019 Junior Eurovision. “Empire” was also co-authored by Laurell Barker.
