Even though restrictions implemented by the Polish government predominantly prevented the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19 and relieved the Polish healthcare system, defeating the epidemic will most likely involve an extended period of time, when civilians will be restricted from fully returning to normality, said Professor Duszyński.
He expressed his belief that easing restrictions was the only way to save the Polish economy from collapsing. However, he stressed the whole process, or at least regaining stability might only be achieved if civilians continue to follow the rules of virus prevention.
