Institutions on mission to cultivate the legacy and memory of John Paul II

The President of the St. Nicolas Foundation, Dariusz Karłowicz spoke to Poland IN about the challenges and significance of creating this important institution in the capital of the Catholic Church.

The 18th May 2020 marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Karol Wojtyła later to be known as Pope John Paul II. This important date served as an opportunity to open the St.John Paul II Institute of Culture in Rome - an institution aimed at teaching the faithful of the world the lessons inherited from the Polish Pope.

There could be no better place to establish the Institute than within the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas where John Paul II received his doctorate degree. Future leaders of the Catholic Church are currently studying at this educational facility, and the legacy of the Polish Pope will aid their understanding of religion, humanity and the challenges of today's world.
