COVID-19 cases in Poland rise to 20,931

Poland’s Health Ministry announced that 316 new COVID-19 infections have been confirmed on Saturday, bringing the country’s total to 20,931 positive diagnoses.

The ministry also reported 11 new fatalities, all of them had concurrent conditions. As a result, the current death toll from COVID-19 adds up to 993.

According to the ministry, the number of individuals hospitalised in Poland due to the coronavirus epidemic amounted to 2,271 on Saturday. A total of 80,635 people are quarantined and 19,836 are under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 8,977 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. Nearly 751,000 samples and 687,080 people have been examined for the presence of coronavirus.

As of Saturday morning, as many as 5,318,050 coronavirus cases, 340,230 deaths and 2,169,179 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
