Scottish rugby team gathers funds for Polish foundation

The cancellation of the 2020 Warsaw Rugby Festival hosted by the Warsaw Frogs left Scottish Rugby team Dalziel from Motherwell, Scotland without a trip to a city they love.

The team took on a fundraising project to rack up the amount of miles it would require to travel to Warsaw – except they did it all on their home turf. They set training challenges and gathered miles, all tracked online – overseen by the Dalziel trainer.

Some two dozen team members cycled, walked, ran, swam – you name it – all around Scotland. They ended up going over their target of the 4500-mile round trip to Warsaw, and are currently at 4,600 miles. At the rate of a pound per mile – that’s almost 5,000 pounds that will go to the Prometheus foundation for seniors.
