COVID-19 cases in Poland reach 23,571

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Poland has increased by 195 since the last report and reached 23,571, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday evening.

The ministry reported ten new fatalities. Most had other health conditions. As a result, the current death toll of COVID-19 in Poland is at 1,061.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, nearly 900,000 tests for coronavirus have been carried out in the country, over 25,000 in the last 24 hours.

According to the ministry, the number of individuals hospitalised in Poland due to the coronavirus epidemic amounts to 2,207 on Saturday. Over 80,000 people are currently under quarantine and nearly 20,000 have been put under epidemiological surveillance, whereas 11,016 people in the country have so far recovered from COVID-19.

As of Saturday morning, there have been as many as 6.08 mln coronavirus cases, over 368,000 deaths and 2.69 mln recoveries confirmed worldwide.
