On Sunday, PKP Intercity reminded passengers that from June 1 - in accordance with the regulation of the Council of Ministers, all seats in public transport can be occupied and these changes also apply to all PKP Intercity trains.
The company announced that, due to restrictions that are still in force, as of June 1, it will be accepting as many passengers as there are seats on the train. Therefore, from Thursday June 4, PKP Intercity is introducing mandatory booking of seats in all categories of trains: Low-cost Railway Lines (TLK), InterCity (IC), Express InterCity (EIC) and Express InterCity Premium (EIP).
From June 4, single tickets will only be issued with details of the booked seat. In turn, those travelling with a season ticket will also be required to have a seat booking for a specific connection - PKP Intercity announced.
A seat booking for season tickets will cost an additional PLN 1. The booking will be available for purchase at ticket counters as well as via the intercity.pl website. Also from June 4, the company is introducing the possibility of buying a seat on the website for tickets bought from other sales channels.
