Poland’s Health Ministry announced that 202 new COVID-19 infections have been confirmed on Monday morning, bringing the country’s total to 23,987 positive diagnoses.
The ministry also reported a new fatality. As a result, the current death toll from COVID-19 adds up to 1,065.
According to the ministry, the number of individuals hospitalised in Poland due to the coronavirus epidemic amounted to 2,181 on Monday. A total of 77,406 people were quarantined and 18,859 were placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 11,449 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far.
As of Monday morning, as many as 6,278,405 coronavirus cases, 374,157 deaths and 2,852,761 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 1,837,170. Brazil comes second most with 514,992 cases and Russia third with 414,878.
