Number of COVID-19 cases in Poland rises to 24,165

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Poland has increased by 178 and reached 24,165, the Ministry of Health said on Monday evening.

The ministry reported nine new fatalities. As a result, the current death toll of COVID-19 in Poland stands at 1,074.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, over 930,000 tests for coronavirus have been carried out in the country.

According to the ministry, the number of individuals hospitalised in Poland due to the coronavirus epidemic amounted to 2,181 on Monday. A total of 77,406 people were quarantined and 18,859 were placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 11,449 people in the country have recovered from COVID-19 so far.

As of Monday afternoon, there have been as many as 6.15 mln coronavirus cases, over 372,000 deaths and 2.64 mln recoveries confirmed worldwide.
