Robert Lewandowski scored his 30th goal of the Bundesliga season while his side, Bayern Munich, won an away game against Bayer Leverkusen 4:2.
The 32-year-old striker converted the pass from Thomas Muller in the 66th minute, when Bayern was already leading 3:1.
Lewandowski continues to impress with his glittering form maintained throughout the entire season as it seems the coronavirus break did not affect him at all. In the five games played since the resumption of the league, he has bagged five and leads the top scorers standings, ahead of Timo Werner from Leipzig who has scored 25.
With four more games until the competition ends, Lewandowski has already equalised his career-best league result, achieved in 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons. However, he will not be able to improve his goal account in the next gameweek as he got suspended due to yellow cards accumulation.
So far, the Polish star has netted more times than he has played matches. In all club competitions, Lewandowski has scored an astounding 44 times in only 38 games. He is also the top scorer of the elite Champions League, which is due to resume later this year.
