Bayern Munich defeated Werder Bremen 1:0 in an away game of the football Bundesliga after a goal by the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, sealing their eighth consecutive and 30th overall title in the German championship.
Robert Lewandowski opened the score in the 43rd minute of the match with a classy finish after a brilliant delivery by Jerome Boateng. This was his 31st league goal, and came in the 29th game, which is already his career-best result, and which he may yet improve over the two upcoming gameweeks.
The Pole keeps boosting his goal account this season. In 40 appearances in all official club competitions, he bagged an impressive 46, leading the top scorers’ rankings in Bundesliga, Champions League and the German Cup.
With two games to go, Bayern is ten points clear at the top of the league table. Second Borussia Dortmund, with a game in hand, can only gain a maximum of nine.
