193 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Poland

On Sunday the Polish Health Ministry announced a total of 193 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, increasing the total number of infections to 33,907.

The ministry also announced that four people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The total death toll in Poland rose to 1,438.

A total of 1,845 beds in hospitals are taken by patients who contracted the coronavirus, 83 patients are on ventilators. The authorities are quarantining 85,603 people, and 15,211 people are placed under epidemic supervision. A total of 20,548 people in Poland have recovered from COVID-19.

Around 10.1 mln cases of the coronavirus have been recorded worldwide, including more than 502,000 fatalities. Nearly 5.5 mln people have recovered from COVID-19.

The highest number of cases was recorded in the US (above 2.5 mln), followed by Brazil (more than 1.3 mln) and Russia (around 635,000).
