Poland’s Health Ministry announced that 239 new COVID-19 infections have been confirmed on Tuesday morning, bringing the country’s total to 34,393 positive diagnoses.
The ministry also reported 19 new fatalities. As a result, the current death toll from COVID-19 adds up to 1,463.
According to the ministry, a total of 83,499 people were quarantined and 13,987 were placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 21,281 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far.
As of Tuesday morning, as many as 10,421,869 coronavirus cases, 508,422 deaths and 5,679,581 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 2,681,811. Brazil comes second most with 1,370,488 cases and Russia third with 647,849.
