Cycling ultramarathon: from the Vistula’s sources to the Baltic Sea

A new record of 59 hours and 56 minutes, was set during the cycling ultramarathon along the Vistula river. Radosław Gołębiewski, the winner of this year’s race, showed remarkable endurance to pedal 1,200 kilometers at pace along the Vistula riverbed.

“The Vistula is a symbol for all of us,” says Aleksander Pachulski, one of the organisers of the event. The Vistula, Poland’s longest and largest river, is 1,047 km long, and is the ninth largest river in Europe.
