The Health Ministry announced 267 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in Poland to 38,457 including 9,113 still active. The number of active cases has been falling since mid-June but recorded a slight spike on Tuesday in comparison to Monday’s 9,099 active cases.
The ministry also announced that 12 more people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 1,588.
According to the ministry, a total of 86,747 people are quarantined and 9,473 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 27,756 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far, which means that there are still 9,113 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
As of Tuesday morning, as many as 13,249,575 coronavirus cases, 575,844 deaths and 7,718,307 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 3,479,483. Brazil comes second most with 1,887,959 cases and India third with 908,258.
