The Health Ministry announced 809 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 50,324 including 12,496 still active. The number of active cases increased from 12,099 yesterday.
The ministry also announced that 13 more people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 1,787.
According to the ministry, a total of 104,923 people are quarantined and 9,237 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 36,041 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 12,496 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
As of Friday morning, as many as 19,275,561 coronavirus cases, 717,938 deaths and 12,373,205 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 5,032,547. Brazil comes second most with 2,917,562 cases and India third with 2,030,001.
