FC Bayern Munich with Polish striker Robert Lewandowski on the pitch defeated Paris Saint-Germain FC 1:0 in the final of the UEFA Champions League held at Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.

Lewandowski did not net in the final but was close to in the first half when he hit a post. The winning goal of the game was scored by French player Kingsley Coman in the 59th minute of the game.
Another Polish player, a goalkeeper Marcin Bułka of PSG, was on the bench in Sunday’s final.
Lewandowski joined the club of Polish players who won the most important European trophy. Zbigniew Boniek, the current head of the Polish Football Association won European Champions Cup in 1985 with Juventus FC, Józef Młynarczyk with FC Porto two years later, Jerzy Dudek was the goalkeeper of FC Liverpool which was victorious in 2005, while Tomasz Kuszczak was on the bench when Manchester United won the UEFA Champions League in 2008.
