The Embassy of Switzerland in Poland held a Swiss Dog Parade on Saturday, an event with attractions such as alphorn players, flag throwers ''and other surprises''.
“When you come to Poland, you learn something new every day. One thing I learnt is that Polish people really care about Swiss dogs. And since a dog is a man’s best friend, or a woman’s best friend, what’s nicer about Swiss-Polish friendship than Polish people choosing to have a Swiss dog as their best friend,” said Jurg Burri, Swiss Ambassador to Poland.
Switzerland isn’t all about cheese, chocolate, and breathtaking mountain views. Swiss dogs also expand the great Swiss heritage. Political relations between Poland and Switzerland are also excellent. Last year, the respective presidents celebrated the centenary of the countries’ diplomatic relations.
