Resurrection Church welcomes visitors to Białystok

The Church of Resurrection in Białystok, north-east Poland and the capital of Podlaskie province, is one of the most interesting sacral buildings in the city.

Although it was constructed between the years 1991-1996, it is inspired by the architecture of the baroque age, especially so-called Vilnius baroque.

The idea behind the construction of the temple was honouring an old church located in the town of Glubokoye (modern Belarus) which was destroyed by the Soviets.

The church is located on a hill and is among the city’s landmarks that can be observed by visitors coming to Białystok from Warsaw and central Poland.
