377 new COVID-19 infections in Poland, active cases dropping

The Health Ministry announced 377 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 74,529 including 11,229 still active. The number of active cases decreased from 11,305 yesterday.

The ministry also announced that 15 more people have died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,203.

According to the ministry, a total of 92,057 people are quarantined and 6,972 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 61,097 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 11,229 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.

As of Monday morning, as many as 29,190,543 coronavirus cases, 928,344 deaths and 21,033,237 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 6,708,458. India has the second most with 4,846,427 cases and Brazil third with 4,330,455.
