605 new COVID-19 infections in Poland, active cases rising slightly

The Health Ministry announced 605 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 75,134 including 11,359 still active. The number of active cases increased from 11,229 yesterday.

The ministry also announced that 24 more people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,227.

According to the ministry, a total of 95,241 people are quarantined and 6,934 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 61,548 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 11,359 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.

As of Tuesday morning, as many as 29,459,649 coronavirus cases, 932,997 deaths and 21,286,937 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 6,749,289. India comes second most with 4,930,236 cases and Brazil third with 4,349,544.
