600 new COVID-19 infections in Poland, active cases rising slightly

The Health Ministry announced 600 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 75,734 including 11,387 still active. The number of active cases increased from 11,359 yesterday.

The ministry also announced that 10 more people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,237.

According to the ministry, a total of 94,273 people are quarantined and 8,062 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 62,110 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 11,387 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.

As of Wednesday morning, as many as 29,737,991 coronavirus cases, 939,364 deaths and 21,548,231 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 6,788,147. India comes second most with 5,020,359 cases and Brazil third with 4,384,299.
