757 new COVID-19 infections in Poland, active cases rising

The Health Ministry announced 757 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 77,328 including 11,746 still active. The number of active cases increased from 11,593 yesterday.

The ministry also announced that 17 more people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,270.

According to the ministry, a total of 111,530 people are quarantined and 10,102 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 63,312 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 11,746 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.

As of Friday morning, as many as 30,367,850 coronavirus cases, 950,821 deaths and 22,052,941 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 6,874,596. India comes second most with 5,214,677 cases and Brazil third with 4,457,443.
