The Health Ministry announced 974 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 81,673 including 13,768 still active. The number of active cases increased from 13,411 yesterday.
The ministry also announced that 28 more people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,344.
According to the ministry, a total of 114,000 people are quarantined and 65,561 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 65,561 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 13,768 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
As of Wednesday morning, as many as 31,808,253 coronavirus cases, 975,809 deaths and 23,415,581 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 7,098,291. India comes second most with 5,650,540 cases and Brazil third with 4,595,335.
