Health Ministry reports record-breaking 1,136 new COVID-19 infections in Poland

The Health Ministry announced 1,136 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 82,809 including 14,282 still active. The number of active cases increased from 13,768 yesterday.

The ministry also announced that 25 more people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,369.

According to the ministry, a total of 125,220 people are quarantined and 11,089 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 66,158 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 14,282 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.

As of Thursday morning, as many as 32,111,515 coronavirus cases, 982,196 deaths and 23,692,401 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.

The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 7,139,553. India comes second most with 5,732,518 cases and Brazil third with 4,627,780.
