The Health Ministry announced 1,587 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 84,396 including 15,264 still active. The number of active cases increased from 14,282 yesterday.
The ministry also announced that 23 more people died because of the COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,392.
According to the ministry, a total of 137,023 people are quarantined and 12,937 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 66,740 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 15,264 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
As of Friday morning, as many as 32,433,016 coronavirus cases, 988,036 deaths and 23,940,903 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 7,185,516. India comes second most with 5,818,570 cases and Brazil third with 4,659,909.
