The Health Ministry announced 1,326 new confirmed COVID-19 infections in Poland, increasing the total number of cases recorded in the country to 89,962 including 18,524 still active. The number of active cases increased from 17,769 yesterday.
The ministry also announced 36 new fatalities out of which six were due to COVID-19 alone and 30 out of COVID-19 and concurrent diseases. The death toll in Poland went up to 2,483.
According to the ministry, a total of 134,588 people are quarantined and 14,660 are placed under epidemiological surveillance, whilst 68,955 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far. As it stands, there are still 18,524 active cases of the coronavirus in Poland.
As of Tuesday morning, as many as 33,572,836 coronavirus cases, 1,006,831 deaths and 24,893,477 recoveries have been confirmed worldwide.
The US remains the country with the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, amounting to 7,361,633. India comes second most with 6,145,291 cases and Brazil third with 4,748,327.
